Frequently asked questions
How often should I see the dentist?
Every six months for most people, more often if you have a history of gum disease, diabetes or build tartar quickly. We set your interval on what we actually see rather than a blanket rule.
I have not been in years. Will I be judged?
No. It describes a lot of our new patients. The first visit is an examination and a conversation, not immediate treatment, and we prioritise anything painful or infected before working through the rest at your pace.
When should my child first see a dentist?
By their first birthday, or when the first tooth appears if that is sooner. Early visits are mostly about familiarity, plus fluoride and sealants on the back molars that are most prone to decay.
I am very nervous about the dentist. What can you do?
Tell us before we start. Longer appointments, stopping whenever you raise a hand, and explaining each step before it happens all help. Dr. Singh is known for an unhurried, plain-language approach.
Do you accept Medi-Cal and Denti-Cal?
Yes — we welcome Medi-Cal and Denti-Cal patients alongside all major PPO insurance and cash. Bring your Benefits Identification Card and we verify what your plan covers before treatment rather than after.
Can my whole family be seen on the same day?
Usually yes, and we encourage it. Booking together saves trips, and a nervous child settles far more easily after watching a parent go first in the same chair.
Do you take Medi-Cal / Denti-Cal for this treatment?
Yes — we welcome Medi-Cal and Denti-Cal patients, and we also accept all major PPO insurance and cash. Bring your Benefits Identification Card and our team will verify what your plan covers before treatment.
